An accounting firm is asking one of our customers to fund there account by utilizing a "drawdown wire transfer". Does anyone know what this is? Thanks.

A drawdown wire is basically a request for funds to be sent. It is used often in correspondent banking. Bank A sends a drawdown request for $xxx to Bank B. Bank B sends $xxx to Bank A.

Word of advice - make sure your wire transfer authorization form covers drawdowns. If not, you may want to add an additional provision with your custome before starting this type of transaction.
