Regarding Indirect Lending: A dealer sells a boat to a customer that will be used as thier principal dwelling and they decide to use us to finance the transaction. In this case, would the dealer be considered an MLO of ours since they "take the application"?

Interesting question. Unless they fall under this exemption, the answer is yes:

(B) An employee of a manufactured home retailer who does not take a consumer credit application, offer or negotiate credit terms available from a creditor, or advise a consumer on credit terms (including rates, fees, and other costs) available from a creditor.
