We do not escrow on any of our loans, we show the homeowner's insurance cost on the initial LE and delete it on the CD. But, if we issue a revised LE, can we / should we delete that fee on the revision?

What do you mean you delete it on the CD? If you're requiring homeowner's insurance, it goes on the CD as a fee (and on page 1 as part of the estimated taxes, insurance, & assessments) whether it's escrowed or not.

(Well, to be more precise...if you're requiring it and know it's not already in place....that is, on a purchase transaction or in instances where you know the insurance has lapsed.....it goes on the CD as a fee. It always goes on the estimated taxes, insurance, & asseessments when you require it.)

Actually, it goes on page 1 in the estimated taxes, insurance & assessments section whether or not escrow is involved, both on the LE and the CD.

Did i say something different John? I certainly didn't mean to imply it wasn't required on the LE, or that whether it was escrowed or not was a factor in whether it went on page 1 of the LE or CD.

It was the "when you require it" at the end of your post that I reacted to. Sorry for my delayed response. I was on vacation.

I just meant if homeowner's insurance is required, it goes on page 1. If it's not required, (there is no home to insure, for example) then there's nothing to put there. I probably could have made it more clear. Hope you had a good vacation.
