Has anyone else gotten one of these in their email inbox? I read an article a couple of months ago about a guy who stole a little over 2 million dollars by sending this type of email. Ebay says that they will never ask for this type of info in an email. What do you think?

Oh I sent it back alright, but my "user ID" was screwyou and my password was imnofool. All boxes requiring numbers were filled with 0s. I then sent a copy to ebay. I don't know if they have any way to trace the IPO or not, but it made me feel better.

It is generally best to not respond to this type of email. When you return junk email, you have verified your email address. Don't even do those ones that say "Unsubscribe here"; it gives the sender a "verified" email address that they can sell for more than the average email list.

I know you're right, it just got under my skin and I impulsively fired back. In the light of day, I wish that I hadn't.

I got that e-mail today and deleted it.

Thanks Dave, I was a little quick on the trigger and probably should have deleted it without responding, but I am just too sarcastic for my own good sometimes
I want you to know that I watched my FIRST (I swear) major league game last night because of you. I am a huge football fan and watch all the time, and I love to watch softball in person. I will certainly watch more baseball now. My mom tells me that my dad always listened to baseball on the radio and now I know why. Thank you for that, and as cliche as it sounds...Just wait til next year!

I've gotten several of those and I delete as we have also been trained not to "unsubscribe" or reply. Altho, I think that reply was great!
