I am trying to find some information on average salaries for Compliance Officers to determine if my salary is within the industry range for this line of work. Do you know where I can find this type of information? I do not manage our compliance department and am in my second year of compliance at this bank in the midwest.

Try salary.com and the department of labor statistics. It's under legal and not banking. Good luck.

If you are posting anon what do you care?

But for the record I was not asking the posters to give their salaries, I was asking of a place to find a "standard" for this type of work.

Don't know how everyone else felt about that survey, but I found the numbers to be way low. I subcribed to RRM just to get the salary survey -- once I got it I buried it -- hard enough to get increases w/o my management seeing those numbers.

What experience to you have? Any certifications? Do you have a college degree? What management experience do you have? Did your current employer train you for your current job? What is your depth of knowledge?

If you think you’re under paid then look around and see what somebody else would hire you for. Salaries are, in most cases, person specific. I would pay a Dan Persfull more money than I would pay myself because he has WAY more experience and knowledge. So again, my best advice would be to shop yourself around and see what people are willing to pay you.

I would pay myself more than Dan Persfull because the last fish I caught was bigger than the one in his avatar.
