Low cost airline nearly scrubs breakthrough windpipe surgery

Geez - reminds me of the story about the mom who was forced to drink her own breast milk to prove it wasn't dangerous.

Did they refund the cost of the flight on EasyJet or the 16,000 Sterling pounds to charter a private jet? Maybe it's too early for my mind to conprehend this.

So Cal
BB, it looks like they only refunded the price they paid for the EasyJet flight.

When I first saw the title of this thread, I thought it was going to be about the automakers' plea for bailout $$. wink

That's the first thing I thought about, too! "You're too good for first class so you *have* to take a private plane." Tools!!

And I'd hope they refunded their own ticket fees; they did refuse to board him. crazy

Ah yes - the joys of zero tolerance. Makes it very easy to make decisions, but the consequences can get awkward.

I'd hazard a guess and say that EasyJets has a bit of a PR problem to clean up.

"Oh I'm sorry, but we detect 5 liters of blood in your body. Can't risk taking that amount of liquid on board."

I wonder if EasyJet will change their slogan (whatever it is now) to:

EasyJet: Smooth and clear airways. Your airways, not so much. whistle
