Do any bankers out there keep a printed copy of the OFAC list? I know OFAC updates the list often, but wondered if anyone kept a printed list, say annually or otherwise, at their banks? (responses from bankers only please).

No, we don't. If someone were to ask for the list we could easily go onto the Treasury department's site and obtain either a full copy or what's changed so far this year.

The only time I have seen a hardcopy used for anything would be in conjunction with a disaster recovery plan.

There is no reason to print the SDN List. The list changes quite often, sometimes on a daily basis.

It was a common practice maybe 15+ years ago...if you have procedures or policies that say you will keep a copy they are either that old or older and it's a self imposed compliance pitfall. Today, there simply is no point.

We don't keep a printed copy. As Doug said, if someone wants to know what the list is right now, or what's changed this year, or even which entities relate to which sanctions program, all of that is available directly from Treasury's website.
