We have recently changed our practice on Wires to send out on Collected Balance. However, if a customer wants cash or an Official Check, we now give out on Available Balance. Can the same rule apply? Can we enforce it if we haven’t placed a REG CC hold on those funds or do we have to give the cash or cut an Official Check if the funds are available?

You either give me my money or place a hold on the funds. Available means available.

However, the daylight overdraft rules do come into play if you are wiring uncollected funds through Fed Wire.
