How do you handle closings with borrowers that do not speak English and provide their own interpreter? Do you just hope that the information is being relayed accurately? I thought that many companies provide their own interpreter for this reason, but I am getting mixed opinions on my end. Interested to hear how others handle this.

California state law requires that if the bank "negotiates" in a foreign language then we must provide loan documents in that language. Because of this law we require that borrowers who need translation provide their own translator and they must be over 18 years old.
