I have found two versions of this RESPA required booklet on the intranet. Can you tell me which one is correct one to use?

One is at the http://www.hud.gov site (Revised 1997)and the other is at the Federal Reserve Publication Online Catalog Booklet (Revised 2004).

The Federal Publications Warehouse in Pueblo, CO offers the settlement guide but their link is to the HUD.gov site.

Which guide are you using?

Thanks,

Kerri

We were advised to use the one from the Federal Reserve Board, the one revised in 2004 & reprinted in March 2008. You can get 100 free copies. Below is the online version. To order online, scroll all the way to the bottom for the link.

Bump. I'd like to know who advised as well. I ordered the booklets and want to start using them.

Nope, not available yet. At least, it's not on their web site.

Argh. We were trying to decide if we should order from a vendor. Sounds like we need to to comply then?

The following came from page 51 of the 11/19/09 HUD RESPA FAQs.

Settlement cost booklet
1) Q: When will the Settlement Cost Booklet be revised?
A: HUD is currently revising the Settlement Cost Booklet. The Booklet will be available on HUD‘s website and will be published in the Federal Register when it is completed.

There is not a new booklet at this time - what have you been using?

That is currently still the official booklet until HUD issues a revised version.
