If am i am checking our CD's for APY violations and we offer compounding on CD's semiannually, and monthly do i have to check if they are in violation on both methods of compounding?

If you are talking about 2 different products I certainly would.

Well see im not sure if they are different products because they can have an 11 month CD but the CSR's told me the customer can pick the method of compounding.

P.S. I am VERY new to banking

I am assuming i should since any violation on any method of compounding is a violation, period.
