A business checking account was opened without a taxpayer ID a few days ago, the customer provided documentation that he had applied for the number. We have received the number and have updated our system, should we also get a TIN Certification resigned since the orginial did not reflect a number?

I would either re-do the signature card which should contain an area comparative to the W-9 or have the customer sign a W-9 as certification of the number.
