Our SLO wants me to order a Brady Book? I havn't been in compliance very long so I am not sure what he is asking for. Does anyone know?

Im confused. Our loan officer wants us to do this for record retention purposes. He says that this book has what needs to be retained and for how long. Im not sure the Brady on Bank Checks is what he is talking about. Does anyone know what our SLO is refering to?

Of course BOL offers a record retention product - you can find it in the BOL Store.

In TX the Tx Bankers Assoc. has a product they sell that gives required record retention, so you might check your state association also.

Brady on Bank Checks is the Brady Book. I haven't looked at it in years however and don't know if it would include record retention or not, because there are two levels of record retention, state and federal. Don't think Brady could put all that in the book along with everything else they cover.

You can check with your state for most record retention(not covered by specific BSA requirements of 5 years).

I have Pratt's Brady on Bank Checks online, it has nothing about record retention in it.
