Give me one 'good' reason we even have daylight savings. It should just be banished completely. Same with time zones, in my opinion (a billion people in China can't be wrong).

I can read a watch.

I hate it...I hate it getting dark so early. But now the time zones I don't have so much problems with! wink

FINALLY ABOVE the gnat line
It will be nice to actually be able to see my daughter at the bus stop in the mornings! Otherwise, I don't like it.

I like the extra hour of sleep, but we just lose it in the spring anyway.

How does no time zones work? Would it be the same time everywhere in the country?

DST is a hoot in Alaska. Summer, you have all you need. Winter, there is none. Why try to manage it for us?

yes, it's the same time on the clock everywhere in the country, but a business will have different 'business hours' depending on location.

so whereas it is 'officially' the same time everywhere, technically, it is not.

So Cal
Since we (Pacific Time Zone) are essentially the middle zone (East coast is 3 hours ahead and Hawaii is 3 hours behind) everyone should have to adjust to our time! That would give the East coasters 3 extra hours of sleep but cause Hawaiians to lose 3 hours on the switch-over day. But I wouldn't care! smirk

It'd be just as convoluted as keeping track of a time zone system.

"Oh he's in Beijing? Let me check this chart and see what their business hours are. Ok they're 3am to 12pm"
