Are any of you offering/allowing opt-ins via text message?

If we list that as an option, it seems we would need to list every number they could text.

When I was asked this question, my response was, "Really?" And the reply was, "Well, when the customer gets this notice, they may just text their officer and say they want to opt in. What do we do in that case?"

Okay - valid question, but this is making me crazy I just would not think to do my banking business via text, but I'm also not 18 years old.....just a tiny bit older than that. laugh

The channels we're offering are:

In person
By mail
Phone (customer service - general line)
IVR (automated phone service)
Online banking (through the customer's online banking account)
ATM (you can opt in or revoke the opt in at the ATM, but your choice is not effective immediately)

We did not create a separate phone number or 800 number. Customers are directed to call our regular 800 number for customer service.
