One of our branches wants to write on a dry erase board in the lobby saying,"Ask us about our Low Rate Visa credit cards".
My question is, does this need to have the EHL and Member FDIC logos on it? If they do not need to be there, would it be wrong to have them? Also, do they need to make a statement on the board saying accounts are subject to credit review and approval?

This is a Pandora's box. I cringe every time I am checking out at WalMart because the ad written on a board at a certain bank is always non-compliant. I wouldn't allow on the spot advertisements created by any dept. or branch. They care about sales - not compliance.

Do your tellers state EHL...Member FDIC...etc when they ask if a customer at the window is interested in a loan?

The tellers would direct the customer to a PB who would give the customer the proper disclosures.

I agree with Richard. Even if you could ensure that the messages were compliant, retention is a problem. What you would have to do is take a picture of each ad which would be a pain. Doable, but a pain.
