Tomorrow is going to be a great college football day! Auburn in the morning against Miss. St. and Alabama in the afternoon against Penn State, and I believe Tenn plays tomorrow night! I'm thinking I need to stock up on finger foods cause I'm not cooking!
Tonight's homecoming for our HS team. We're 3-0 this year so far. Hoping we keep the momentum! Tennessee is at the same time as Bama/PSU - the only complaint I have for an otherwise beautious day of college football. Finger foods, indeed, as beginning at 11:21 CST tomorrow I will only be leaving my chair for bathroom breaks...

And with football season, comes......
.......Marching Band Season!!
We are headed to VA to see JMU. My daughter is a freshman and is in the band. (Nothing better than being a legacy Marching Royal Duke!!)
Please remember to give kudos to all those kids in the bands. They also work very hard in order to provide you with an entertaining halftime show (or in the case of JMU - Pregame show, halftime show and Post game show) Our HS football coaches always told us the band works harder than the football team, and we had a real good football team.

Which game is televised at night then? I need to know whether I go to Knockouts or a real sports bar....

Missagain and the Cryin Irish will be one of the primetime games.
Is A&M playing Baylor this weekend? That would be another one worth watching.

http://lsufootball.net/tvschedule.htm provides a list of all televised games for this weekend. I didn't see baylor - It would be fun to watch South Carolina at Georgia, but I don't have ESPN and it would conflict with Bama.

As for Vick, we're all entitled to our own opinions. Mine: the guy seems (emphasis on "seems", i don't know the man) to have actually learned a life lesson. I'm willing to see where he goes from here. On the college football front: i think the Texas shorthorns may have painted themselves into a corner now. Their network is only put up with it seems by the Big 12; so their options seem to be: stay in a castrated (if OU leaves) big 12; or go to a conference (maybe the ACC i hear?) that will allow them to keep their network. Last year, we heard, ad nauseum, how Texas held all the cards and was THE player in all the conference realignment stuff. Not this time. If anyone in the conference holds the cards now, it's those loveable Sooners from Oklahoma.

And.....i say let A&M go. Texas A&M won, what, 1 conference championship in the history of the Big 12. My take on the difference between the SEC and the Big 12: at the top, no tangible difference (OU, Texas, and Nebraska{or OSU} basically equalled Alabama, Florida, and LSU). It's the middle of the two where the difference is: Arkansas, Tennessee, South Carolina, Mississippi State, etc. > Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Baylor, Kansas State, Missouri. In its good years, A&M will do what they did in the Big 12: finish 2nd or 3rd in its division. In its off years, they'll finish near the bottom.

I would never have believed that the SC v GA game would be so close - that would have been a good game to watch. sorry sunny, Alabama rolled over Penn State. The Auburn v Miss St was a good game.

How did Missagain do Boucher? Was actually kind-of sort-of pulling for them. Of course that's not meant so much as a compliment to them as a knock against the dames they were up against. But, then, I would pull for any non-reptile against the Iwish except for maybe the Taliban - maybe... Speaking of dames, I thought the Michigan retro unis were pretty nice, except for those sleepshirts the cheerleaders were sporting. Then again, perhaps the quality of the UM cheer squad has something to do with why you are so fond of the Aggie yell leaders...

NFL Commissioner reveals Tony Romo secretly paid by NY Jets to throw the game last night................
Not really, but come on Cowboys, really, really???? Throwing a big lead in the 4th to lose the game. Oh my, I am in a terrible mood today!
(At least Tony stood up like a man and admitted HE lost the game for us, oh yeah, just like the opener last year!)

But Michigan really did come back!
