Two new COPPA penalties were reported recently. It is on the BOL Blog but in short a music web site allowed kids to register for newsletters, fan clubs and the like and settled for $400,000, the largest settlement to date. Bonzi Software, makers of Bonzi Buddy (I had to delete that from a friend's PC, what a PAIN) paid $75,000 for allowing software registrations by children.
