Is anyone getting a bonus this year? If so, is it a Christmas bonus, or an end-of-year bonus? This is our 3rd year in a row without raises or any kind of bonus. I know for a fact that "they" have been accruing for it all year, but it is obviously only going to be paid to senior officers!
I can see a Christmas bonus paid to all employees, but not performance bonuses. Those usually go to officers above a certain rank, using corporate titles, not marketing titles.
Some bonuses are paid to customer facing employees quarterly, these are usually the mid-level professionals, so they should not enjoy a year-end bonus as well.
Every firm is different.....

No bonuses at my new bank...I got a Christmas bonus at the bank I worked at previously. The only thing I got this year at my new bank was a $25 restaurant gift card.
We always get a Christmas gift of some sort, logo-wear usually, a jacket or something like that. Always nice and appreciated, goes to the whole staff. Then we get paid out a "bonus" based on meeting our company-wide yearly sales goals. This is generally a fairly sizable amount, for the lower half of the staff it will be nearly 2 week's pay this year.

This is actually the first bank I have worked at that didn't give bonuses. They actually never have given bonuses since they have been in business since the mid 80's. Sad, but true. I just have to remember to be thankful to at least have a job.
certain areas of the bank have incentive bonuses based on performance and making the proper numbers. Other areas of the bank don't have incentive. everyone is eligable for a merit increase if their performance warrants it.

Small raises every year on Jan 1st, and an extra $100 x-mas bonus on our Dec 15th paycheck. Normally we have a big christmas party too, but this year we didn't.
This is just on the teller level- I'm sure the higher ups bonuses are much much larger.

For compliance officers out there, the ABA's "Survey of Bank Compliance Officers Report" might be of interest. I just received an announcement about it today, though it may have been out earlier this month.
I'm glad I can't access it, it would only depress me! I'd venture a guess that the CU version of such a report (if it exists) would be about 20% less. Would be a good negotiating tool for a few years down the road though!

Suprisingly enough, a very few non Senior Managers got a bonus of $1,000. But health insurance is going up next year. I don't know too many non revenue generating employees getting bonuses in my area this year.

our health insurence in increasing too, but i'm only covering myself so it wasn't that much. I'm REALLY glad that my ex has our daughter on his insurence, cause the family rate stinks.

No bonuses (never in the five years I've been here) and no raises for anyone this year. We haven't even received an email postcard for the holidays. Scrooge.
Morale is at an all time low and lots of quality folks are headed out the door.

There's a link to the Survey in the December 20 online edition of the ABA Compliance Source. If you are an ABA member, you can register to receive the Source at aba.com. I just read the Survey and it has some high-level salary and bonus information. Before anyone asks, the survey is only available to ABA member banks.

I still receive everything the old fashioned way...through snail mail. Someone has to keep the post office in business, right? I will check out their website.
Wow - reading this post makes me very grateful for where I work.
Very much this. We had our annual Xmas party today and received our yearly gift from management, a nice logo'd backpack. Makes me incredibly glad that I work where I do!

Every year that I have worked here, we have been told not to expect or count on a bonus (so I don't). And every year that I have worked here we have received a bonus, with one small exception. A few years ago, everybody but the top five officers received a bonus.
