Pulling people out of the ditc...

So MsGilmore called me a short time ago to say that she was in a minor fender bender on the interstate, young college boy passing her had a blowout and as he was spinning out of control on of his tires scraped across her rear quarterpanel - fortunately no one was injured and after the police came and released everyone she called to say she was going to get an estimate, but it looks like it could just be buffed out (suddenly she is a body shop expert). Anyway, I told her I was glad she was fine and that her car is in good shape, and suggested that maybe if she wasn't out shopping so much but instead was at home today cleaning up and washing clothes, that this would not have occurred.
It is really amazing how crystal clear those cell phones can be at times...my ear is still ringing.

Glad to hear MsGilmore is ok. As buffing is just another cleaning task she now has someting to do tomorrow.

Last week I was hoping that the damage to my car could be buffed out, but I guess when a 91 Chevy Caprice Classic T-Bones your 2007 Ford Focus and pushes the driver's side doors in 18" it is "Unrepairable"

Maybe if you'd unlock the computer so she can shop online, this wouldn't have happened!
She's probably going to come screeching into the driveway tonight when you get home and well...you know the rest of that story!

I'm sure you'll get to make up the couch that you'll be sleeping on tonight too. The dog house would be more appropriate for this type of situation.

Wow!!
Happy, if you like the adrenalin rush, it may be safer to jump out of an airplane rather than to ever repeat that statement...outloud.

It is really amazing how crystal clear those cell phones can be at times...my ear is still ringing. I knew I was missing someting while reading this post. How could I missed it? The most lacking part of your post the unthoughfulness "she could have been cooking you a nice steak" (cooking and not burning the steak into shoe leather).

She called me as she was leaving the accident scene...let's just say that MsGilmore is not known for her excellent driving skills - she has backed into 3 of our cars in the driveway, one she buckled my sons hood as she didn't know it as behind her (hello, side and rearview mirrors) causing us to have to replace the hood, she totaled one of my cars the day after I paid it off (yeah, thanks honey), drove really fast in a hail storm trying to get home (yep, the faster you drive in hail the worse the damage is, never thought to pull over...)...so, when she called to jokingly say "this wasn't my fault you can't blame me" I figured that opened the floor for me to joke back...
apparently it didn't...

Happy, my dear, 99 out of 100 times, it is never the woman's fault during a car accident. Just ask my husband.
