Having just finished reading "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil", and re-watching the movie, I was compelled to buy the soundtrack (which has both songs in the movie and inspired by it). It's amazing! While listening to some of the songs at our group picnic this past Sunday, I suggested we organize a brunch and have this as background music.
But what to serve?
I was thinking of low-country food, for Jim Williams. The recipe for croissant bread pudding, with rum-soaked raisins and sliced almonds, turned out pretty good (but should have cooked longer). What else would you suggest?
Thanks!
And if you get a chance, check out this soundtrack. Even if you aren't familiar, you may discover his songs are timeless.
