...America's roughly 80 million gun owners have the feds (includng the military)and cops outgunned by a factor of around 79 to 1. That's 4 million vs. 310 million. Sounds like a lot of guns to me. (Of course, tanks, helicopters, battleships, rockets, bombers and fighter jets, probably count for a lot too.) I do not ge the point. Are you claiming that the 80 million will use the guns against the feds?

I wonder of those 310 million guns how many are in working order, the owner knows where they are, and that the owner has been trained and is proficient in the use. I also wonder what makes up that number? Hard to believe there is almost 1 gun for every person in the US.

Do I get bonus points for being in shopping mode at the moment? I really want a smaller semi-auto for a concealed carry piece. My wife loves her Sig P238 with factory laser. Fits right in the zipper compartment in her purse.

I'm the only one in my immediate family without a gun. But between the 5 others, there are probably 20, so I guess I'm covered!

I tried the Walther 380 yesterday and did not love it.

the .380 S&W Bodyguard is a good pocket gun It is, and very similar to the Sig 238. But, the reason we went with the Sig is because the laser is detachable, and can be sent back by itself if anything ever goes wrong with it. With the Bodyguard, the laser is integrated to the frame of the gun, and the entire gun would need to be returned if there was ever a problem.

I would rather just not have the laser at all.
I don't think it's all that effective or necessary for a firearm that isn't too accurate outside 20 yards or so.

I agree with you. But this gun was for my wife, and she liked it, so that's what she got.
