UPSTATE
Our bank wants to offer 1000 U choose rewards point for opening a new account and applying and receiving your debit card, the value of these rewards points is $10.00 does this mean for everyone who get these points we need to send a 1099-MISC statement because we gave them something of a $10.00 value?? Thanks for your input

The threshold on a 1099-MISC is $600.

Would we have to give them a 1099-Int because were giving them of a $10.00 Value? I thought there was something if we gave something away with more $10.00 or moe of value that it was reportable??
