A report has showed up indicating that we have several customers right now that are citizens of Cuba. I know this is a sanction country. Would an indiviudal who is only a citizen of Cuba be allowed to have a bank account in the US?

I fear what we have stumbled across!!!!.

I believe the only way would be if they are licensed by OFAC. Are you sure that they are actually Cuban nationals or are they just of Cuban origin but are either citizens or perm residents? I find it odd that you would have such a large population of actual Cuban nationals...but I guess anything is possible especially if they found a bank that was willing and able to open their accounts LOL

We have an Iranian citizen as a customer. There were no problems with her having an account here. She is considered a "US person" because she lives her permanently.
