An Accord page is basically just a summary of insurance that is (or should be) in place. The problem I've had with accepting them is primarily on new policies. The agents will type them up and offer them like they are actual dec pages for a new policy that has not been officially issued yet. They are not. The Accord form is a blank form that the agent produces from their office. It is not produced by the flood underwriting unit (ie it is not a policy doc, or an application).
We have gotten away from accepting them on any of our flood loans, and only accept actual dec pages from the flood underwriting unit on existing policies (the ones that are mailed to you) or copies of applications, paid receipt, and proof that the app and premium have been sent to underwriting on new policies.
