.0199 was the cheapest I ever filled up with in college during the early 1970s. The station was named "Hull", and their slogan was "fill up for the hull of it".

Soooooo close. Gas was $3.03 on my way to work this morning. Went out for lunch...that same gas station now has gas at $3.09... Frustrating, to say the least.

Finally! $2.94. Has anyone else considered.....it's truly sad that I am this excited to see gas as "cheap" as $2.94 per gallon.

Whether we balk or not is actually a moot point. Gas is necessary (at least right now) for the use of automobiles. Regardless of the prices, we either pay for the gas and drive, or refuse to pay and walk/ride bicycle. That may be an option for some city-folk, but not so much for a country feller like me. I have a 40 minunte drive one way to work...walking or taking a bicycle isn't a realistic option for me. Nor do I have the option of mass public transit.

Public transport costs more and I need a car to get to it.
