This may be a silly question. For a refinance that is closed at the bank, are you making the "File #" on the closing disclosure the same number as the "Loan ID #"?

We are planning on using our final loan number for the file number. Our loan ID is the original application number.

Any additional thoughts on repeating the "Loan ID#" for Lender settlement agents?

If we aren't using an outside Settlement Agent, we're leaving the File # blank.

Any additional thoughts on this? We are still putting the Loan # for the File # for loans the bank closes. Also, we have been listing the bank's information in the Settlement Agent section on page 5 for these loans. Is this correct or what are others doing?

We don't have much choice in the matter, unless we prepare the CD by hand. Our LOS will not render a CD without a Settlement Agent listed. So for our loans that close in house, we list ourselves as the Settlement Agent and use our final loan number as the File Number.

For loans where we do not use a title company's closing service, our LOS displays the "File #" on the closing disclosure as the same number as the "Loan ID #". Also, our bank is listed as the settlement agent.

Does any one have any updated info on what they are doing for the file # if the loan is closed in house?
