Is it permissible to add a statement to the ATM/Debit card app that says something like the following:

"If your card is compromised, you will be contacted by email."

Or is that considered discriminatory against people who may not have an email address or would prefer another method of communication?

I don't think it's (legally) discriminatory (it's your debit card contract, put whatever you want in it) but I don't know if it makes much sense... is that the only way that your bank contacts people? What do you do for people that haven't supplied an email address?

Thank you sir! Also, thanks for the response.

Normally we call people when their cards have been compromised. But we have found that many can't be reached due to old phone numbers on our system. That is where the emails come into play.

If people don't have email, we go back to calling.

Personally, I don't like the mandatory email notification but I am being overruled thus far.

Have a great day
