not sure if I will finish, getting close to page 100 and my interest is not piqued...my rule is if I get to page 100 and not into it, then off it goes...

I just started the Frankenstein series by Dean Koontz.

"City of Bones" (#8 of 18 'Harry Bosch' novels). On occasion I'll binge read a series that focuses on an individual; e.g. Jack Reacher, Mitch Rapp (original author only), Jack Ryan, etc. At some point I tire of the invincible hero. (In the case of Reacher, the plots got ridiculous.) However, in this series I would have to say Connelly's writing and story telling have improved over the first 10 years of writing.

I've just decided to take on the Bosch series. I love Michael Connelly.

Right now I'm listening to (Norm) "People Who Eat Darkness." It's a true crime book about a young British woman who disappeared in the Hong Kong underworld in 2000. Interesting so far.

Ken - have to say that I was impressed with the author who continued the Mitch Rapp character, read just like Vince Flynn. You should give it a shot.

as much as I enjoy reading the Reacher novels, yeah, it is a bit much to swallow these days...

I did try the new author... I kept thinking "I've read this paragraph before." He knows the formula, I just don't think he knows how to vary it.

A Conflict of Interest by Adam Mintz, very good read.

Enjoyed 11/22/63 very much and potentially answered some "what if?" questions if certain events had not occurred.

Currently listening to Fanny Flagg read her book "Standing in the Rainbow." All of her books (she wrote "Fried Green Tomatoes") are a hoot and a half.

Lyndon Johnson and the American Dream (Doris Kearns Goodwin). Really interesting so far.

I love Fannie Flagg and I have read everything she has written. If you like Standing in the Rainbow you will also like The All-Girl Filling Station's Last Reunion.

Ashley Bell by Dean Koontz Koontz's usual creepy can't figure it out til the end.

That one was great, too! I've read them all now, I think.

Just finished Miller's Valley by Anna Quindlen. Her characters ring so true. Her subjects are seldom light and breezy, but she can weave a tale.

Just started The Glassblower by Petra Durst-Benning

Ooh, that sounds like a good one.

The Killing Floor by Lee Child

Finished Riyira Chronicles by Michael Sullivan - LOVED. The ending was especially satisfying.

There are 2 Authors that I will drop everything to read. Michael Connelly and Daniel Silva. Finished Daniel Silva's latest Gabriel Allon. Excellent read. I gave up on Jack Reacher about 3 books ago.

This was so good that I inhaled the entire trilogy. Historical romance set in the early 1900's about three sisters and glassblowing in Germany. I would recommend. The writing style really appealed to me.

I'm on Book 3 of the "trilogy in 5 parts" that is "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy".
