Can you get CRA Service Hours credit for CDL Review???

The previous post from last year does not answer my question regarding Community Development LENDING and if we can report the time spent researching these types of loans as CRA Eligibly Service Hours.

LOL, I think you are really pushing the envelope here Mari!!! Maybe when we are doing CD services for the bank (for example, serving on a board), the bank could take investment credit for our salaries.

However, this subject was brought up at a recent CRA Roundtable meeting and it was suggested by one of the officers (who just had their Review) that they included CD "research" in their CRA Service Hours report and actually got credit for it by the OCC.

I'm very surprised as well, I've never heard of that.

Just another clear example of how subjective these dang CRA regs and examiners are with banks they visit. Is it any wonder we throw as much stuff up during the exam to see if we can get credit ?
