Can anyone direct me to where it states how long fingerprints are good for? Renewal period is coming up, and I was not sure if I need to have anyone get them again.

If the prints are more than 3 years old and you need to run a new criminal background check, then you are going to need new ones.

In reading through this, it appears that we won't have to run a new background check, as we are registered through the federal side. Unless I am not reading it correctly.

Renewal doesn't require MLOs to be refingerprinted, regardless of how old the prints are. However, if the status of the MLO changes (i.e. fails to renew, changes employers, etc) then the 3 year rule applies to whether new fingerprints will be required to reactivate.
