OK - When I was driving back to work from lunch today, someone cut right in front of me in my lane and then slowed down at least 5-10 miles per hour. That is the source of this new thread. That is one of my pet peeves and it seems to happen to me quite often.

What are some of your Pet Peeves (driving or otherwise)?????

See this thread for most people's peeves. It was quite a long list.

I wasn't a BOLer in October of 2003 ... But I like this thread. Pet peeves are a fun topic anytime. One of mine, while driving, would be when people are driving and talking on their cell phones at the same time. Most people I've seen do that are not paying enough attention to the road. Cell phones and driving DO NOT MIX!!!

Not sure where you are but if up in New England everyone talks on the cell phone while driving. It's down right dangerous.

I have two today.

1. People who freak out if you mention the word God in a sentence with CRA and...

2. People who think CRA is the fluffy easy regulation.

Ok I feel better now, back to my FDIC studies!

How about when someone asks you a question, you answer but it is NOT the answer they wanted to hear so they argue with you? It isn't like you asked THEM...

How about when you are talking to someone and the try and finish your sentences for you? That annoys me.

This happens alot to me...I get an assignment from the CEO then he gets upset with me because I presented it.

Ex. He asked me to do a presentation to our officers on Phishing. Then he just about attacks me when I tell him that it is really simple to register a domain name and anyone can do it. I gave examples of the big name banks that it happened to. He starts ranting and raving like I'm the criminal doing it. He yells "Well, who regulates the Internet!"

Then months later when the FDIC get Phished, he gives me the assignment again!

How about when people ask you a question and when you answer they either start talking to someone else or they don't pay attention to what you are saying. Why ask if you don't wait to hear the answer?

Other drivers aggrevate me. My three biggest:
1) People who camp out in the left lane next to another car in the right. Come on! Lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way.
2) Related to #1. People who are Sunday driving during rush hour. Old people should not schedule Drs. appts. early in the morning, because I usually get behind them on the way to work.
3) People who can't merge into traffic. It's a simple process. Why can't more people do it?

Ok, my pressure is up and I'm out.

How about when you ask someone a question and they do not answer, they come back with a question -- EVERYTIME!!!! Like this week, I email one of our officers and ask what number do you want me to call you on for the teleconference? Simple, huh?? His response, "Can I just call you?" He never did give me the number, 4 emails later I had to look up the number and ask him if this is the correct number? He said yes, and then they transferred me 2 times when I actually did call!!!! Fractious, absolutely fractious.

Ok, I feel better now.

Who cares about fractious...Here are two of my pet peeves

1. People who can't seem to understand that the left lane is the passing lane - doing 55mph on a 65. Drives me crazy!

2. People who make rules they can't even keep themselves. Damn hypocrites! My wife does it all the time.
