Thanks for the update. We all became so invested in all three of you bears. Think of us as the grandmother (and aunts and uncles too) in the woods. Periodically we need a visit from the little bear.

Many ((hugs)) and prayers for our bear's continued journey on the road to full recovery.

Don't stop telling us the news Becca. I would love to hear about her prom, graduation, and wedding day. She gives me strength and I am SURE I am not the only one that feels that way. My continued prayers are with you, Bear and Jason.

No kidding. You aren't allowed to stop giving us the news! We were here for the heartache and the bad times, at least let us share some of the good times too

Funny how much people can grow to love a little girl and her family that they have never met.

You guys rock ! I guess what I meant was, I don't want to have my updates take away from the problems that someone else is having.

We go back to the hospital Thursday for clinic, so I promise to post an update.

Becca - your updates never take away from anything. Sometimes, it's the best news we get all day. The rest of the time, you know our prayers continue - and yeah, we want prom pictures!!!!

Becca, I think you put the rest of our lives in perspective. You guys symbolize not giving up and what a positive attitude can do. Thank you for trusting us enough to share the good time and to come to us when it get hard and you need encouragement. Thanks for letting us be part of your family.

See what I mean when I say that things change overnight for us?

In addition to going to our clinic appointment tomorrow, we have now been scheduled for a 7:30 am procedure. Last night I noticed that Natallie's PTC tube (this is the tube that's keeping her main bile duct open and clear) was leaking AGAIN...grrr! So we need to arrive at CMH in Chicago by 6:30 am - WOOHOO that means leaving home at 4:30am! Then they will start an IV, sedate her, and wisk her away to check the tube.

I know I don't need to ask - but can you please say a little prayer. It's probably nothing but a tube blockage, but I always worry.

You guys are always in my prayers, but I will say an extra one for you tonight. On a brighter note, I am glad to see that your sister is back in the U.S.

Bless her sweet little adorable heart - I'll pray it's just a little blip and easily "fixable" - you take care!

All that worry over nothing...yesterday went really smoothly for Natalie and I. Jason had to work so it was just the 2 of us girls again. And she was an angel all day!

We arrived at the hospital a little before 7am (running a little late as usual). And went proptly to IR. An IV was started in Natalie (and that was fun for everyone involved ), labs were drawn, and she was given Versed. Ah, the wonder drug Versed . I think that I have spoken of it before! Natalie was then taken into the procedure area and not 20 minutes later a new PTC tube had been placed.

After sitting in recovery with the cutest-out-of-her-mind baby (she really is adorable when she's sedated) we made it to clinic. We learned that some of the labs that were drawn before the procedure needed to be redone. Yup, you guessed it, another poke in Natalie's arm. Now you see why my house is full of guilt-gifts and looks like Toy-R-Us threw up in it!

Dr. Alonso said that Natalie looks fantastic . She is holding on near the 5th percentile for height and weight (anywhere on the chart is great with us ). We don't have to go back for a month and at that time we're going to get the PTC tube out!! WOOHOO!!!

After I got home, Joan, one of our nurses called to let me know that Natalie's labs continue to look great - hemoglobin is 13.9 and the other LFTs (Liver Function Tests) are terrific too!

Thanks for letting us know the great news.

By the way--I completely understand the "guilt gift" syndrome. I did the same thing.
