Living life, find your purpose and fulfill it. We all have a purpose, we all have a plan - it's up to us to find it, know it, and complete it.

I hate myself, more than I ever let on, I'm burnt out, at 24, I live too fast, and I love too much, and I'll die too young, But I chose this cup that I drank from.

This is what I wrote after coping with a friends death...sometimes writing it down makes you feel bette
Words to Nate:
Nate was a kind gentle so that needed to be loved more then anyone. I would consider Nate a friend of mine who left this world at too early of an age. His athletic ability and harsh personality at times caused some to dislike him. I knew Nate from High School as he was from our rival high school.Mutual respect was there and known between the two of us. The first day of college while moving to University of Wisconsin Oshkosh I glanced and noticed I would be living right next to Nate. The first thing I gathered in my mind was great...a kid from Portage. I learned to respect Nate and actually had a few drinks with him...even joked around with him. Quite the guy I'll tell you.
That faithful day started out with a even weirder morning. I saw Nate in the hallway know that something was wrong with him. I said hi to him, but his girlfriend was with him and I didn't want to make a scene. Nate went back to Portage that day knowing his life was going south. His girlfriend the only person who matter to him in life was told by her parents to stop seeing Nate. Nate as I know now didn't take that news well. Nate made a decision that day to end his life. As he planned his suicide he thought of an overpass where he could jump in of a semi. The problem was that Nate wanted to die and be killed instantly by getting run over by a semi. Nate mistimed the jump and ended up skidding on the top of the semi and from what I've been told was ran over multiple times from some on passing cars. I do believe in a Heaven and God but and a Higher being but that's as far as it goes. Nate decided to make the ultimate sacrifice that day, but what for...He wasn't going to save anyone else's life...Nate may be looking down or up at me as I right this...this I'm not sure. This all happened the same year that I lost 3 other people in my life that at one time or the other really mattered to me. The oldest was 17 and the youngest 15. Point to story..."In life you make choices and decision that not only affect your life but the lives of people around. Some people say that person committing suicide was selfish. How can people say that...You'll never know how that person feels unless you've been in that person's shoes."

The only thing I can offer is to communicate with someone - is there someone you can talk to? a parent, a friend, a counselor, an unbiased party, a pastor/member of a church, someone you can trust?
I have found myself in lonely places before, I don't know if you believe in God or a higher power but trust me, He is there. He will answer you - He will give you the answers you're looking for if you'll open your heart and mind. I don't know what it has taken to get you to the point you are, but even without knowing you I pray for you if that's ok.....hoping you will find relief and take your problems to the one that really matters, the one that will grant eternal relief and peace of mind.

Well since we are shairing some creative writing, I'll share this. I did not write it, but my cousin did who was murdered a few weeks ago. You make not like it, but his art and his writing won several awards. So here it is.
Under Our Tension
Under our tension, within the soul Notice the darkness, a shadow like whole Down in the core, our system receives Enter your section with faith, believe Realms of expression unwind as we speak Wild in growth, like natural peaks Open the chamber and fill it with life Roam by accepting, praise with the wise Love is above, below and around Develop the skills, believe when you are down Our time is for each other, the peace within a kind Become as one like nature, but keep to the mind Seek and discover what comes before Every encounter, comes with a door Search with a key that forms within Salvation awaits you, the journey begins Often dissolved in societies bowl Nutrition by Jeramy, a piece of the whole

Yeah,
Life does go on. Just in this last year one of my best friends brother died in a motorcycle accident and then in July a high school friend died in a drinking and driving accident. The older we grow the more people we care/or cared for leave us. Not trying to get people who read this depressed but you just have to move on.

About a year and a half ago I started to be depressed. Just about family and life and all kinds of crap, it seemed like nothing was going well. I talked to somebody about it and started taking anti-depressants, they helped a little bit, but it also helped me realize that if you want to change yourself, a perscribed pill isn't going to do it. You have to make a conscious effort to get out there and right what is wrong with your own life, before you can truely become happy. I wrote this when I was contemplating suicide. To this day I am greatful to be alive each day.
Holding me down Keeping me from aspiring to be So many times been pushed to the edge Looking down at the depths below Knowing all of my pain will be ended All it would take is just a pull Nothing left for me Except pain, dim and dark lies the future Cried out so many times Only to hear my own voice echo back Wondering when somebody will care Wondering if anybody cares Do you care? Do I care? Yes I do

I found an old makeup bag of mine and in it was a piece of paper where I had written "Will I ever be happy?" I smiled when I found because yes I am happy.

Ya know, I have decided this year just sucks and I can't wait for it to end. Not one good thing that I can think of has happened this year. In March, a friend/co-worker comitted suicide, my birthday buddy/cousin was murdered a few weeks ago and I just found out that a friend of mine was killed in car accident. My grandma has taken a turn for the worse. My grandfather just found out he has congestive heart failure and he his not doing well at all. My aunt has Parkinson's and doesn't even know me. And on top of all of that, look at all the natural didsters that has happened recently. Not to mention all the crap I have personally dealt with, which I won't even go there and bore you with that. But man, talk about depressing. Somone should write a poem about that.

Slick, this has been a bad year for me too, with mom-in-law's cancer, dad-in-law and cousin passing, real estate taxes skyrocketing. But I try to remember that, last year, I felt really good. I was really blessed. In fact, there were many years of good times. So, I look at this year as pay back time. Things got to even out. When things go smoothly, we take them for granted, and expect it always to go smooth. Life just doesn't work that way.
But...the bad times won't last either. You will be happy again. Try to find the good in little things, to help you survive til these bad times pass.
