birthday present for 15-year-old boy?

Help! My son is turning 15 and I don't know what to get him for his birthday! He is into video games, and I got him a new one, but beyond that, I'm at a loss! I've asked him what he wants and gotten no response.
Any ideas? It was so much easier when he was younger, and I could just go into Toys-R-Us and get everything!

Open him an account and teach him money managment - if already done so, tell him to buy shoes or video games from that account!

Well, I suppose it depends on how much money you want to spend. What about an IPod or something like that? Does he have a TV in his room? How about a DVD player and some movies to go with? Focus on what he likes and what he doesn't have or even what he needs. I know it seems cheesy by sometimes gift certificates are the best because they can pick out there own gift, I know I love them!
Hope that helps! Good luck!

Clothes? CD's? What else is he in to other than video games? Have you asked any of his friends?

If I have to explain that not all 15 yr old boys would consider a 16 yr old girl a good birthday present, then people are going to get all bent out of shape, so I'm not going to do it.
seriously, what 15 yr old boy would NOT want a 16 yr old girl as a present (assuming she is attractive to him) other than those who have made the choice that they would prefer another 15 yr old boy?

Cash or a Mall Gift Cert.
For my 17yr old cousin I made origami(?) clothes out of cash...not to hard and it was more creative than just regular ole cash.

For our son, we've done gift cards (Blockbuster, GameStop, etc). If he has a cell phone, some accessories for that. If he has an Ipod, a carrying case. Movie passes. Gift certificates for anything he likes, i.e. bowling, arcade, etc.

For my nephew one year, I took a glass jar, filled it with water and placed the cash gift inside (in a freezer bag). Then the jar is frozen: cold hard cash. He loved it.

My son turned 15 in April. Don't know about your state but mine has a graduated drivers license which actually you can start the process at 14 and 9 months. All my kid wanted was drivers ed, so that's what we did for his birthday. He now has his permit and will drive with us for the next year. Other than that all he ever wants from anyone is money. He used his money to buy a digital camera.

Ipod, cell phone, digital camera, take him shopping to his favorite stores. Boys are so much harder to shop for than girls.

I'd vote for a sword, it's what I would have wanted at that age. Possibly a nice wallet chain out of titanium or brass if he would like it (which I only mention because I make them).
what 15yr old would ask to be a dork for their birthday?

You can't go wrong with a gift card to Best Buy or Abercrombie and Fitch. They can shop for their own stuff, cause you know whatever an adult buys them will be considered "lame".
