Rachal woould lick a frog, her eyes would get all big, a grin would form on her face. "Positively scrumtions". "Probably the best thing I have tasted in some time." Its just irritating, not everything is good .

I have to somewhat agree with Shemp on Rachel Ray. Although I love her shows (30 Minute Meals and $40 a Day) she does seem to "love" everything she tries. She is very passionate about cooking though so I forgive her for that.
Paula Deen is my next favorite. I just love her and her comfort food! Her boys are cute too!
I also like the new show with Bobby Flay called Throw Down as well as the Iron Chef.
Did anyone watch the recent series with Alton Brown about foods on the road? I thought that was very interesting.

Shemp, it's actually one day for $40, and I think that she is just excited about food. She has given some pretty good tips on that show that I used on my last vacation.

We caught a few of the Feasting on Asphalt episodes with Alton Brown, they were good. We've also been watching that new show, Ace of cakes. It's amazing what they can make with some cake and rice crispies.

LOL @ "o" faces!

Well, I have to say that Giada DeLaurentis (known in my household as TSB), Bobby Flay and Ina Garten had such ,er, authentic-looking "o" faces that if you didn't know them, you'd have assigned them to the wrong network.

I also like Rachael Ray, but she says that every meal she cooks is healthy. I tend to disagree with that statement.

LOL, AML... she still looks like a lollipop...
It's just sad that she can't afford clothes that fit. Everything's too small.

Giada. When DQ called her a lollipop, I burst out laughing. Thinking of lollipop made me think of another descriptive phrase, that does not bear repeating on BOL, that would also apply to Giada.
OK, you'll have to fill in the first word yourself (it starts with a "T", though), but the last 3 words are "on a stick".

I really enjoy the Food Network, too. Has anyone watched The Take Home Chef on TLC? I thought it was a goofy idea, when I first saw the promo ads. But I think it's entertaining and every once in awhile Curtis, the chef, has some good cooking tips.

I like the Take Home Chef. It is kind of cute. Not as detailed on the procedure as most of the stuff on the Food Network but he gives some good ideas. My biggest problem is the amount of TIME they invest in every day meals on some of the shows. I don't have that kind of time or energy by the time I am done with my job, my hubby and my 5 year old. I am quite creative when it comes to cooking, but time is always an issue.

I agree with you BQ, the time they put in is a bit much for everyday. My husband and I have been cooking a few days a week and then we have the leftovers the rest of the week. We save the more elaborate meals for the weekends when we have more time. We've been trying new dishes off the Food Network website.
