We are a National Bank located in Washington state with a couple of branches in Oregon. I received an e-mail from an Oregon lender that stated "Under the amended rules, loan originators hired on or after January 17, 2007 are required to complete an entry-level education course and pass an examination prior to taking a loan application" After some research I think this falls under Oregon Revised Statute 59.840 to 59.996. My question is does our bank fall under the exemptions from this being a National bank headquartered in Washington?

If you are a financial institution as defined by ORS 706.008, this does not apply to you.
