I really like this show, but I can't help wondering if they stay stranded on that island for much longer, how are they going to get the big guy to look slimmer? They have already been there for like 4-6 weeks and he still looks the same

They have actually started. Several episodes ago, Charlie asked if Hurley (a.k.a. the big guy) had a hidden stash of food. Hurley pulled out on his waistline to show he had already lost a few inches, and had no extra food.

FYI - I thought the show would be stupid - how long can you really keep people stuck on an island. Now, I am addicted.

did anyone see on last nites show? when the Korean went to the mans house to question him and the guy gave him his daughters dog. the little girl was watching tv and it looked like Hurley was on the news getting arrested. hmmmmm

It probably was Hurley. They have thrown in a lot of overlapping story lines like this. Like Sawyer drinking the night away with the Doc's dad before going to kill his mom's con man.

I've been anxious to see some background on Hurley to find out what his story is.

Last night also highlighted some of what's going on - on the island everyone gets a new life.

I am glad someone else saw Hurley on that tv. Have you all noticed that we have been shown stories about all the islanders, some of them several times---except Hurley. . . or did I miss it?

I believe that Hurley is really the white bear.

Hurley was on the news, but not being arrested. A more positive thing. I won't tell so I won't spoil the story line. But I like the show alot. Different from the usual cop shows. Even though I love the cop shows, like CSI, CSI:Miami, Law and Order and Law and Order Criminal Intent, it is pretty much formula television, just with characters I like to see. Dead body found, search for who done it, find who done it, make it stick.

I'm hooked too. I didn't start watching until about the 3rd episode, but I look forward to it every week. As long as it doesn't turn out to be "just a dream" I'll keep watching.

Next week's show promises to give us Hurley's background, and explain why he was on TV.

One thing that has kept me hooked is how they keep interweaving the "history" stories, making the present make more sense.
Did anyone notice Sawyer being arrested when Boone was reporting Shannon missing? I think there is a lot more to come on Sawyer.

I think they all died in the plane crash and they're in Purgatory. It seems that each has some type of history they are working through on the island before they can enter heaven.

I think the kid is the one making things happen on the island. He was reading that comic book with the polar bear, then it appeared. He burned the raft, it's all him!!!

My favorite character by far is Locke!! His back story blew me away!!! Especially when you see him smiling and happy as he got up from the crash!!! Awesome stuff!

This is an awesome show. I look forward to it each week.

Looks like we finally get to learn about Hurley (Hugo) tonight. Maybe we'll see why he was on TV last week. I've also heard rumors that he has a connection to the French Lady.

The paper they were written on was part of the notes Sayid took from the French ladies (Rosseau) place when she kidnapped him.

Did you notice that they didn't explain Hurley being on TV in Australia? I figured it would be because he won the lottery, but they didn't show that scene. I guess there is more to come.
