When we receive a Writ do we hold any funds in excess of the 300.00 exemption or do we hold everything??
Also, what direct deposits are exempt- just SSA??

It has been a while since I have dealt with these and it looks like some things may have changed!

When you receive a Writ of Execution, all funds must be held until the court releases the funds or they are ordered seized by the court. The Interrogatories must be answered and mailed within 20 days of receipt. We freeze all funds deposited into the account. If the writ is for $1,000 and he has $6,000, the $6,000 is frozen.

Hope that helps.
