According to KRS 304.12-150, Kentucky is now required to give notice of free choice of agent or insurer. However, my question is when is this disclosure required to be made? From all indications through our loan doc software (ARTA) it should be given at closing. I have also used LaserPro software and the disclosure is given at closing.

We have been told to give this disclosure at application. I'm confused..... help!

Who told you to give it at application? We've always given it at closing.

Our compliance officer is including it in our application packages. The last bank I worked at gave it at closing also, but I wanted to be able to defend the timing issue with something more solid than "at the last bank I worked at..."

Our main office is in another state and we are the only Kentucky office. I just don't want something to slip through the cracks or in this case be wrong due to a state specific law.
