Anyone watching? I caught the last 10 - 15 minutes last night. Was that the first show of the new series? Looks like next week is the one to watch. One of the chefs wants a throw down with Gordon - not in the kitchen - outside. Then it looked like there will be a fire and someone is injured. Hope I remember to watch!

There were two new one hour shows last night. Looks like it's going to be another good season!

funny, walked in from a bike ride to see Ms.Gilmore watching this...it appears to be a show where some fat guy screams at other fat people, they all wear funny looking clothes, and rumor has it food is involved but I didn't stick around long enough to see anyone doing any cooking...seems like a terrible waste of an hour of your life...

I thought it was a really good season opener.
Don't they tend to have pretty healthy food cooked on that show? I know there a few times when they make something that you shouldn't eat but pretty much everything is baked or seared and there is always a lot of veggies.

I have to admit, I love this show and my hubby and I watch every season. Last night we watched the episodes that we recorded...should be a good season.
That guy that challenges Ramsey is a world class jerk. He was a ticking time bomb...apparently asking that moron a question is what set him off. LOL

Nor do I plan to watch/listen to any in the future. I don't care what he says - I want to see what he does.

Well the beginning of the show was as anticlimactic as I expected... All the hype for nothing...

As usual, I fell asleep during part of the show. Were the two guys with injuries able to work after they came back from the hospital?
Who got sent home?

All I remember is nobody got sent home because of the psycho that kicked out last week. Since two people left last week, there was no official elimination.
Although the girls lost and Lovely and Tennielle (sp?) [the same two girls as the prior week] were nominated to bottom two again.

Both teams completed the dinner service, but the men had an 83% approval rating from the diners vs. a 81% for the ladies.
The injured guys were able to work, but the guy with the wrist injury was a waiter during the service. I can't remember his name, but the guy with the ankle injury really lead and rallied his team, I think he's a real contender.
No one else was sent home because the moron got kicked out in the beginning of the episode. Seriously, who is going to hire that hot head now?

The whole "school yard brawl" was as expected, blown up. When the kid approached Ramsey and went at it with him, 2 men (producers, or perhaps body guards) stepped in. Some verbal back and forth and Mr. Hothead was kicked out.

If there was ever a sterotype for a marine, that dude was it.

Marines are respectful. This guy was an ass. Although as my wife pointed out, who knows if Ramsey egged the guy on and it was edited out.

Yes, many marines are respectful. However, there are stereotypes that marines are very hot headed and think they are invincible. Imo, this guy proved that stereotype.

Every Marine i've ever met was intense but respectful.
This guy reminded me more of Pvt. Pyle in Full Metal Jacket (after he loses it) more than he reminded me of an actual Marine.
