I have had my 1993 Camry for several years and it has over 281,000 miles on it and still going. Nothing major has gone wrong just normal maintance but I think that it is about to the end of the line.

I would like to get a Highlander but we shall see, don't have enough saved for that yet.

owned Camry, Sequoia and Tundra...none of the recall issues have been a concern, although I did have to put in a new tranny in the Tundra, but I blame that on the #1 daughter....

my Toyota drives great, stopping it on the other hand........

if the resale value has dropped significantly, would that apply to say a 2002-2003 Tundra as well? I may be in the market for one and could use the negotiating leverage

Nope, I think I'll stay away from Toyota. They covered up a lot over the years. I wonder what will be next.

You are here
ELLIJAY, Ga. — A car plowed into a crowd at a north Georgia auto auction and sent more than a dozen people to the hospital, including at least six with serious injuries.

Georgia State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright says the accelerator apparently stuck as the car was being driven into the hall for dealers to bid on it Tuesday night.

The auction company urged people to pray for the injured and said it would be closed Wednesday.

Six people were airlifted to hospitals with serious injuries. Eight more were driven to local hospitals.

The State Patrol office had no more details early Wednesday.

The Gilmer County Sheriff's office says the car was a Volvo. The state patrol is investigating, but Wright said it was too early to speculate on whether charges could be filed.

<<<<<<<<<<< Ford and Honda Owner.

Never had a Toyota and the Honda is the first vehicle I have had that wasn't a Ford or GM (Used to only drive Oldsmobile frown Can't buy them anymore).

BIL is an engineer at Honda Marysville and get a new Hondy every two years, so we bought their Odessy. It's nice, but not as nice as our Olds van was.

Volvo man myself here, have been for years.

What model/year do you have? I have an 02 XC70 which I love, but the more recent models seem to have less than stellar reliability.

I am on my 3rd Camry - absolutely love them! I have never had a problem with any of them and they are tough. We live on a ranch and have dirt/gravel roads to travel on and I don't poke along. It takes a lickin' and keeps on ticken'. Have only had to change the oil and replace brakes - but that is probably due to my driving! I have not taken mine in for the recall yet - but will soon. I have had no accelator problems, but I think my accelator has problems keeping up with me! smile

we have Camry's at work as bank vehicles...i can't for the life of me get the seat to adjust comfortably...feel like i'm always sliding forward...we have had Camry's for about 8 years as bank cars, but have been recently replacing them with Honda Accords...bet those swaps happen even faster

I have 2007 Rav-4 and I love it - not one problem and no recall - except now I have to look for a new car because baby #3 is on the way and I cannot fit 3 car seats across the back seat! and ideas on cars that hold three kids in car seats?

full size SUV Starter - Sequoia could do it, but the 15 MPG is hard to swallow

Van. 3-4k cheaper than an SUV and a lot more room.
We bought a Honda Odyssey in August and have been more than pleased.

<--- refuses to own a minivan laugh

I actually can't wait until my daughter is a little older/bigger so that I can get a cute 2-door car. Like a VW Bug or a Mini Cooper. But the thought of getting the munchkin in and out of that back seat is not appealing at this time.

Yet another reason why having more than one child would be bad for me - I'd still be stuck with a 4-door sedan for many years to come. LOL And yes, I am selfish like that grin

for the record, no matter what car I am in, I transform it into a smart car...reminds me of a story I once heard...

Pale and his younger brother were going to town, but the family horse was being used, so they decided to ride the family cow. One of their stops was the local stockyard, and when it was time to leave, there were a bunch of cattle, they weren't sure which was theirs. Pale walks around lifting up the tails on all the cows, and his brother asked what he was doing. Pale said "when we were coming into town, one of the fellers said "Look at the cow with two #%$holes on it"......

In my Strappy Heeled Sandals!
Still driving mine, had just gotten it back in Sept. Thankfully I've not had any problems other than the shocking news of their recalls. I do need to get my tush in gear and get my car in since my Vin # was on the recall list. Even with the recall... I still <3 my toyota camry!
