out of the frying pan...
Trying to read Asher (Inked Brotherhood) by Jo Raven. It was cheap and kept popping up in my reccomendations as 'similar to' other series that I read. It's almost painfully bad so far. crazy

The 5th book in the Genevieve Lenard series is finally out today by Estelle Ryan! The Courbet Connection will be downloaded on my lunch break today since I've read the free sample a few times. laugh

I just found out they have turned the Outlander books, by Diana Gabaldon, into a TV series on STARZ. You can watch the first episode for free online if you don't subscribe to STARZ. smile

Anyone in this thread on Goodreads? I use it to keep track of what I'm reading, as well as my reading goal for the year, plus see what my sister and friends are reading (and some authors I like too! Dana Stabenow doesn't like ANYTHING, LOL.)

Finished the 5th book in the Outlander series, started the 6th. Also finished some smaller books and am about half an hour from finishing the 2nd book in the "Birthmarked" trilogy I'm listening to.

An historic novel about Charles Lindbergh's wife

I just finished reading it and on to a stack of many more great books picked out for me by my daughter.

I just picked up The Dry Grass of August by Anna Jean Mayhew. Adding it to the pile but I believe it will be on top of the pile. Looks like a quick read

Still going through the complete "Sherlock Holms" by Arthur Conan Doyle, reading "A Case of Identity" last night.

Anyone else here a fan of Sherlock Holmes?

My daughter and I are both reading. Me again...her for the first time. She's a fan of the BBC Sherlock series, so it was a natural choice. I like that it will force her to read thoroughly. She's a skimmer. It's all in the details for Holmes!

If any of you are WWII fans, you need to read Unbroken by Lauren Hillenbrand before the movie comes out in December. True story.
