My husband and I will continue our tradition of watching our first Christmas movie that night - 'A Christmas Story'. I think we watch between 20-25 Christmas movies between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Both. We usually do a family breakfast then eat the thanksgiving meal around 2:00. Then snacking on your own the rest of the day.

This is my 3nd year away from my OK family during Thanksgiving/Christmas. We're still working out the "tradition" kinks but turkey is a must. This year I am going to make a couple of things my family would usually make that the family here does not eat. I will make a small portion so I can have a little piece of home.

MonkEE, I do that too. If we go to SIL's, I have to make / bring sweet potato casserole and corn bread stuffing. Who cares if my kids and I are the only ones who eat them, we like them!

I don't get dressing made out of anything but cornbread. I don't want to eat dressing made out of bread.

We will have a mini Thanksgiving this year. Probably just a turkey breast, potatoes, gravy, rolls, and green beans. We will have a huge pot luck breakfast, so that will be more than enough.

I grew up with dressing made out of bread and it's my favorite. I can eat (and even make) the cornbread dressing, but it's not something I crave.

Raitch, I knew YOUR movie reference was a joke! There are kinds of dressing that use bread that isn't cornbread? Cornbread is the ONLY kind of bread in my dressing.

My dressing is roughly 2/3 cornbread and 1/3 biscuits. I like the way the texture turns out with that blend.
