Anyone else try this yet? It didn't work for us.

The Bureau is pleased to announce the beta launch of the new HMDA Platform. The main objective of the beta release is to provide financial institutions an opportunity to become familiar with the HMDA Platform and, in particular, determine whether their sample LAR data complies with the reporting requirements outlined in the Filing Instructions Guide for HMDA data collected in 2017.

The beta version of the HMDA Platform will allow financial institutions to establish test log-in credentials; upload sample HMDA files and perform validation on their data; receive edit reports; allow users to confirm their test data submission; and conclude the test HMDA filing process.

During the beta period, financial institutions may test and retest as often as desired. All test accounts created and test data uploaded during the beta period will be removed from the system when the filing period opens in January 2018.

I was able to get to the website, but it gave me an error when I tried to register. It said to email HMDAHelp.... so I am waiting to see if I get a response.

I was able to register, however, it never sent me a verification email to activate my account

Could it be that there are bugs (YIKES!) to work out? Perhaps the Bureau should remember its own advice and not flip the switch on technology on a Friday.

Try again on Monday after the Bureau or whoever is actually driving the bus has a chance to get it running on all cylinders.

We got in with no problem and uploaded our info.

I too was able to access the site. Unfortunately, my upload is stuck in 'validating edits.'

OP here: To clarify, yep, I got the verification email and followed the link and all instructions. What didn't work was logging in, after that. Will try again.

Anyone having issues within the site? I am able to log in and have a pipe delimited text LAR. But once I uploaded it, I can't seem to get past 'validating'. I have reached out to hmdahelp, and was advised they are aware of the problem and to continue trying.

Any thoughts would greatly be appreciated. Thank you!

I guess I was pretty lucky with my test but I only submitted about 100 loans. I wonder if I sent a larger file if there would be some snags.

Anybody else thinking this issue might have encouraged Cordray to leave now?

Now that you mention it, yeah! And now I'm also remembering the inglorious launch of the debacle known as the healthcare.gov website! Maybe CFPB Acting Director Mulvaney will take note, and delay the launch of new HMDA until 1/1/2019, to give himself another year to figure out how to do away with it entirely!

Thought I was ahead of the curve by trying to submit today, but I can't even get registered.

I'm not ready to file but I just logged in and got to the page to upload my data without any issues.

I had spam-filter issues. The 60 minute window is a bit ridiculous.

I've filed my first LAR this morning.

I've tried to upload my first file today. Ran into multiple inexplicable issues, like "please contact support" written across the "upload file here" box. For another filing entity, I was able to upload a file, but got 3 errors per row, stating that my data was not formatted correctly. The problem is, my data ALREADY IS formatted correctly, and was actually entered using the CFPB HMDA 2017 filing tool (in .xlsm). I can see that the correct info is there. But when I upload it to them, they detect that multiple columns somehow/suddenly don't have correct formatting. Urgh.

So I emailed them my questions. Their response: "Please allow three business days for a reply." Will they be extending the HMDA deadline by 3 business days, I wonder?

If you're planning to file by March 1st, you better start now. Beloved Director Mulvaney, we need immediate relief. The filing deadline should be postponed by 30 days, to give CFPB time to adjust and correct its own glitches and nonresponsiveness, don't you agree? While you're at it, please go ahead and strike the year 2018 fields, specifically, the ones that were NOT specified by Dodd-Frank, but which CFPB added only in the course of "pushing the envelope" as a "new cop on the beat."

Our bank submitted on the 29th. It was smooth with no glitches.

I submitted our LAR on the 30th and it was smooth. I was very happy with being able to clear my quality and macro edits before submittal.

Listen TINK and NSF, the CFPB doesn't need any bankers in their corner, ok? They are already full of themselves, ha ha. Flagging your accounts, adding to my list of suspected CFPB undercover accounts.
