I enjoy dance and have trained in or studied several forms from ballet to two-step to tahitian. I love cooking, mostly asian dishes. I enjoy studying languages. I sew and do needlework. I also love the arts, from drama to sketching. I've tried most everything at one time or another.

You people are so interesting and diverse - this thread is depressing me. I think I will go crack a beer, read a few books, work in my yard, move around some furniture, watch a Cubs game or two, and smoke a pack of cigarettes or maybe I'll make the beer wine and the cigarette a cigar. Oh yeah, I guess I should hug the wife and kid too, eh?

I am a certified bartendar. I took a class for a month while in college (no, not a class offered by the University).
I also minored in Cinema Studies (film).
I can also do some really strange things, and I will give no explanation: peel a banana with my feet, tie a straw in a knot with my tongue, and I can make milk (or water, whatever I'm drinking) come out of my eye.

I am a jack of all trades I guess. Definately a red wine and champagne connoisseur (that's pronounced con-noise-y-er), I bake, I sew, I run. I am trying to psych myself up to do a half marathon, but the thought of the long and many practice runs make me cringe. I am more a 5K or 5 miler. I have done a few mini-triathlons. You've heard of the Ironman, well I am Cellophanewoman.

Well, I can't let this one go by without getting my 2 cents in! I sang with a rock band my senior year of college. I play piano and organ (for church, weddings & funerals)- my second job. Sing with the choir and do quite a bit of solo work. I have also done quite a bit of community theatre. We even did an opera one year - what fun! I also like to cross-stitch even though I don't get to do it much. I like to read - trying to make it through the "Left Behind" series. I have won quite a few awards back in my high school days (many moons ago) for sewing - local and state-wide. Now my machine just sits and gets dusty! Too busy keeping up with my college and high school kids and my husband who teaches for both a high school and local college.

We need to do a BOL Trading Spaces I got all my wiring done last night and the kitchen looks darned cool! Cutting the holes in the cabinets for the under counter lights was a trick...but if I hadn't been so lazy...and actually took the dishes out first, it might have been easier

If I trade homes with anyone...I promise not to staple flowers all over the walls, and I believe moss belongs on a tree, not in the bedroom.

We have so much talent on BOL. My claim to fame is that I am incredibly lucky. Last year I won $5000 in a church raffle. This year I won two rounds of golf at our nicest, priciest golf course, homes there average about $600,000. In the past I've won quilts, fishing rods, you name it. And I usually only buy one or two tickets.

Dawnie,
You can come to my house and do whatever you want to any room. Okay, so maybe I might not completely like flowers stapled to the wall, but I could get used to it. My dining room, living room and kitchen all need help.

Fishing is one area that my luck ceases. I have to work incredibly hard for every fish that I manage to catch. One day I'll be able to point to the big one on the wall and say that it's mine.

One of my fellow workers always asks me to buy her raffle tickets or pick her numbers. It doesn't seem to work as I haven't won anything for her yet. Sorry !

Woo Hoo Frog theme decorating!!!!! I can't wait!

And Ifish...Umm I "fish" about once a year, and every year I catch the biggest and the most so...I guess I have my luck fully lodged in my fishing capabilities. Can we trade? I get tired of fish! Last year the halibut nearly killed me, and 300lbs of halibut...well that's a hell of a lot of halibut!

Dawnie, trade accepted. You take my luck with raffles and I'll take your fishing prowess. I will be fishing in a women's tournament for walleye in August and I want to be the one catching the fish instead of my partner.

I used to play bass guitar in a jazz band and in a rock band. Now, all I play is the radio since I joined the "real" world.

I also love good wines. But I also brew my own beer.

For Christmas my Father-in-law gave me a 1994 Caymus Cabernet, to celebrate the upcoming 10th wedding anniversary this July. I cannot wait to tap into the bottle.

Any other brewers out there?

Always remember it is noon somewhere.

I'm glad you qualified that with " or water, whatever I'm drinking" or I'd be a little worried about you.

My husband and daughter can both make their tongue look like a clover leaf at the end. I can just roll mine. Remember biology class in high school, where the teacher had everybody stick out their tongue to see who could or could not roll it? Something to do with genetics. . .

In my "spare" time, I'm busy with the activities of my two teenagers and husband. We are ranchers, and are involved with the breed associations and local clubs for Polled Herefords and Arabian horses. My husband brews beer and mead and enjoys beekeeping. I love to read, garden, crochet and show our horses.
