If you're asking do I think that PETAs efforts are as laudable as Osama Bin Laden and Al Queda, I'd have to just laugh. After all, both organizations believe they are doing great work. Pretty broad sweeping question your asking. As far as PETAs efforts, I'm sure that some find value in what they do, but it provides no value to me.

Don't be dense. I was questioning your repeated comments suggesting that human rights are a better cause than animal rights. That's your judgment. You may have no personal interest in PETA's cause, but there's no reason to be disrespectful towards people who do value their efforts by disparaging them as being a "waste."

My guess would be Hitler, although he just moved his experimentation from animals to the Jews.

So Cal
PETA is just another self-important, self-serving "rights" organization that takes itself too seriously and hides behind a seemingly noble cause to do nothing more than attract attention to itself, control people, pat itself on the back, and generate tax-exempt cash.

So in essence, I'm only entitled to my own opinion as long as it doesn't conflict with yours?

Just for clarification purposes, (since I'm so dense I want to make sure I understand) are you suggesting that PETAs efforts for animal rights is a better use of manpower than trying to make peoples lives better?

No, you are simply entitled to your opinion. Other people might disagree with you, but there's no need to insult them for it.

No, that is not what I am suggesting.

well, again, I did not insult them, regardless of how you and X interpret it. I said that what they do, in my opinion, is a waste. That is not a personal insult, and maybe you have a problem discerning between a personal insult and someone stating that an action is wasteful, but there is a difference. if I said "Those PETA people are idiots? that would be an insult. That I find their actions a wasteful use of resources is not an insult to them at all.

I was about to ask how we went from PETA defacing the Colonel's grave to "PETA's last stand". When was the last time Sander's name was mentioned in this thread?

Yeah, I'm new to BOL but not to threads so I guess it is to be expected. I'm a mod on another site so I'm used to just punishing members when they get too far off topic

We try to only punish offensive people... For bankers, it is a pretty liberal policy. Welcome as a registered user.
