David Cook - He needs to work on personality coming through, but his voice and ability to arrange songs is amazing.

Jason Castro - So unique, now if only he'd get over being shy

Brooke White - Once again, very unique, and so sweet a person too.

Carly - She's been sick, so I can't wait to see her grow as she finishes recovering from the flu.

David Archuletta - He seems almost too professional, and I am already sick of seeing him pretend like he doesn't expect people to like him.

Kristi Lee Cook - I saw on the top 12 special that she is still suffering bronchitis, and can't wait to hear her do more country as she gets healthy.

Ramielle Malubuy - I love this girl, but I want to see if she can do other things.

David Hernandez - He's got a great voice, and some personality.

Chikieze - I like him, but suspect he'll be #12.

Syesha - I just want to see more. She doesn't seem that unique to me.

Michael Johns - Doesn't sound original

Amanda Overmeyer - One Trick Pony I WISH she'd be the next one gone.

BF, I pretty much agree with you.. Even on Amanda being a One Trick pony. I like that trick, though, so I hope she's NOT the next gone.

I hope you're right about Chikieze being lucky #12.

I'm actually shocked that anyone would agree with how high I have Kristi Lee Cook rated, or how low I have Michael Johns rated. So many people seem to really like him and dislike her.

I just really want to see how much she can grow in the competition because I think she has a lot more potential than what we've seen because of her illness.

I'm NOT a country lover, but I'm gonna give her the benefit if the doubt.. I think she has a LOT of potential in country music, and I think she'll shine when she's well.


I like Michael Johns, I do, but he's already been done. I like the folks who're more unique, so I think ya have it right on.

So what does everyone think? I'm a huge David Cook fan but struggled at first but loved how the song picked up. I watched it a second time and really liked it then. (I absolutely loved his song last week).

Thought Brooke was pretty good and also Carly.

Not a big Beatles fan, I thought it was all dreadful.

Loved Carly. David Cook, Brooke were good. Did not like Jason at all. I missed Katy (flipped over to Biggest Loser) but it doesn't sound like anyone liked it.

Liked: David C., Brooke, Chikezie, Carly, Michael

Hated: the other two Davids, Kristi

Neutral: the rest of them.

I loved David C., Brooke, Carly, and Jason. Same ones I like every week. I was sorely disappointed in David A. I expected Yesterday or Hey, Jude out of him. It was horrible.

After last night's performance, I wouldn't be aligning myself with that.

Oh wait...is that Jason Castro (the dreadlocks dude)? I did see him...(and I liked what I saw!!!!!)

Syesha disappointed me. She started out very rough, and I was very unimpressed. I didn't need to get her into my life.

Chikezie was in the HOUSE!!!!!! I absolutely loved the way he came out of his shell this week. He showed great range, had a lot of fun with it, and most importantly did the song in his own, unique way and owned it. I thought it was very cool and the best of the night.

Ramielle let me down. She really needs to work on her breathing. I heard he breathing way too much, and I expected so much more than an average singer not taking risks, which is what she seemed to be last night.

Jason Castro was, in the immortal words of Randy, aaaiigght. I expect much more from him. He was tender, and did an ok job of it, but while I liked it, I certainly didn't love it.

Carly was in the same league as Jason for me. I thought she was good, but not great. I expect more from her, and it seemed to me that her voice was a little strained.

David Cook was really good. I expected more from him, but while he started rough, he puled it together. I will say that the lighting annoyed me to no end!

Brooke White had better not just let it be. She is, in my opinion, a dark horse to win this thing. Her version sounded almost country, and reminded me a little of a Faith Hill ballad, not in her voice, but in how it is slightly crossing over to country from adult contemporary. She did it so simply yet it was very emotionally charged. Stripping down the song works for her. However, she'll need to change it up a bit if she wants to keep people's interest.

David Hernandez sounded ok to me, but he was trying too hard. Props to the band while he played.

Amanda, you can't do that! I can't even stand to listen to this one trick pony any more. I don't like anything about her. I don't like her hair, I don't like her voice, and I don't think she has the potential to win this thing at all, because winning requires growth and she won't grow.

Michael Johns is one they keep talking about, but I just don't get it. I thought it was ok, but there was nothing unique or special about his performance.

Kristi Lee Cook shocked me, and showed me she just isn't ready for this level of competition. She picked the totally wrong song to try to go country with. She needed to work 8 days a week to make that song work, and it looks like she only worked 3. She looked good though, so who knows.

David Archuletta, the consumate pro, acted like a 16 year old this week, who had never heard of the Beatles. The cardinal rule of Idol is DO NOT FORGET YOUR LYRICS. He forgot them, and then stood like a deer in the headlights when he did it. He butchered it this week, and TOTALLY blew it. Will his fans forgive him and vote?

I loved seeing the 16yo getting shot down like he did last night. He RUINED a beautiful song.

Funny thing, Neo, is that the young guy was a frontrunner up until last night.

Brooke is always consistent, and David Cook kinda came out of nowhere for me.. I think they both keep getting better.

Actually, the three you just mentioned are all front runners to win it all, including the young 16 year old that totally botched it.

I know I'm only 23, and I never experienced the height of BeatleMania but I agreed with Simon on a lot of the performances last night. It was like they were singing karaoke. And to make it worse, the kid wasn't even singing Beatles karaoke!

I don't think Peepers is gonna take that as a threat.
